Preaching Satan and Calling Him Jesus

I was nearly brought to tears recently when I heard someone preach that in the beginning God spoke words to create things, “Let there be light,” etc, and then referred to Ephesians 5:1 that begins with, “Be imitators of God…”, and taking it out of context, said we are supposed to imitate God and speak things into existence. He also took the first part of Proverbs 18:21 out of context, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” and used it to prove his point. He was not speaking metaphorically, he was speaking physically. He was telling people who had gathered to worship and learn from God that they should raise themselves up to God’s level and be like God. I’m so grateful the Lord’s sheep will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers, John 10:5.

You don’t have to join a satanic cult to follow Satan, you can simply follow the doctrines of many of today’s preachers and be smack-dab in the middle of the will of Satan, and call him Jesus while you’re there. These reprobates preach the very things Satan spoke to Eve and Jesus — you don’t have to listen to God, you can know good and evil just like God does;” and to Jesus he said, “If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”  Likewise, they say to us, “If you are children of God, you don’t have to wait for anything, you can take authority and make the promises come true all by yourself,” They also say that using your authority and taking control of your circumstances is fighting the good fight of faith.

The devil’s end game for Eve, Jesus and us was to have them, and us, bypass God and exalt ourselves to His level. This is the same thing the word of faith movement and many churches preach today. They are literally preaching Satan and calling him Jesus. They are expanding on the goal of Satan and passing it off as gospel. Beware of what you accept as truth.

My friends, I have never known of any person, other than Jesus, who has been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Jesus was given this authority because He had completed His ministry in an exemplary way. Who among us can say we have done the same?

There’s a man in our little town who recently had cancer in three places, his brain, his lung, and, I believe, his pancreas. He attends a church where they teach that every Christian has the same authority Jesus was given after His ministry. (This is the same church where the man in the first paragraph taught that Christians need to imitate God and speak things into being.) However, all these super Christians with all their power and authority just stood by as this man grew worse and worse.

He was being treated at MD Anderson in Houston, traveling back and forth. I prayed for this gentleman for months and one day the Lord told me to go to his house and pray for him in person. When I got there he didn’t have much strength and couldn’t walk, or stand, for very long. I prayed for him and MD Anderson released him shortly after this, pronouncing him cancer free.

All those people from the church who believed they had the authority of Christ and the Lord had to call on a nobody, someone who considers himself unworthy to have the authority of Christ, to go and pray for this man with nothing but childlike faith in Christ.

We must stop our minds from running; we must cease striving and know that it is God who will be exalted among the nations, and in the earth, not us.
