The gun laws that exist, such as licensed carry, are illegal, for the Constitution says we have a right to own and to bear guns, and that this right shall not be infringed upon. Thus the illegality of gun laws. Many other laws are in direct conflict with the Constitution of the United States.
The word of God says, Let every person be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God. Therefore he who resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves, Romans 13:1, 2. In view of these two verses, how do we react to those in authority who are trying to do away with our Constitution and change our country from the land of the free to the land of socialism? God says we must submit to governing authorities. The answer to this question is in the two subsequent verses.
For rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath upon the one who practices evil, Romans 13:3, 4. These verses say the governing authorities are there for our good, praising those who do good, and bringing wrath upon those who do evil.
I believe that, as long as there is a chance to change things, we are not to submit to any authority who does the opposite of what is in these verses. If the authorities begin to punish the good and stand for the evil, I believe we must stand for the good, even though it is in opposition to them. I believe this because God is good, and Satan is evil.
